Emergency denture repair
A snapped or cracked denture, or a tooth broken off it, can usually be repaired rather than replaced. Bring all the pieces.
- GDC-registered dentists
- CQC-registered practice
- Prices agreed before treatment
Before you come in
- Keep every piece, even small ones, in a clean bag or box.
- Don’t use superglue or DIY kits. They can make a proper repair harder or impossible, and some glues are harmful in the mouth.
- If a sharp edge is rubbing, leave the denture out and see us.
What we can do
- Repair a crack or break in an acrylic denture: £120.
- Add a tooth to a denture after a tooth is lost or taken out: £99.50.
- Reline a loose denture so it fits better: £184.
Most repairs are sent to a dental laboratory, so they aren’t always back the same day. We’ll tell you the timing when we see you. Metal (chrome) dentures and flexible dentures may need a different repair, and we’ll explain the options.
If you, or someone you care for, can’t get to the practice, our sister service Bedside Dental provides home-visit dentistry.
Cost: the emergency consultation is £54. If you need treatment, we tell you the price before we start, and nothing is done without your agreement. All fees are on our prices page, taken from The Dentist West Midlands’ price list.
